Shroom deploys its own liquidity rather than asking for deposits. The protocol owns every pool, each pairing SHROOM against a tokenized stock or index — NVDA, MSFT, TSLA, AAPL, AMZN, META, GOOGL, SPY and SOXX among dozens — so a route between any two of them passes through SHROOM and pays fees to it, including the fees earned when a stock token and the share it tracks drift apart while the market is shut. Swap fees are compounded back into the pools to deepen them. The protocol describes the buyback as conditional: once depth reaches a threshold, the excess is to buy SHROOM on the open market and burn it. Holders have also received periodic MU rewards, distributed by Pons subject to its own requirements rather than by Shroom, and supply is fixed and was fair-launched. Burn totals circulated elsewhere are self-reported and are not verifiable from the pools alone.
